Day eight: Presenting our newspapers
Objective
- Students will rehearse with classmates to present their final group newspaper.
- Students will present their group newspaper to classmates in a circle-within-a-circle format, groups presenting to other groups in rotation. (If the class is small, with fewer than 6 groups, then each group presents to the class as a whole.)
Setting the Stage (2 minutes)
Students gather in their newspaper groups and organize their newspaper for final presentation.
Independent Practice (10 minutes)
Student groups rehearse their presentation.
Evaluation (40 minutes)
Student groups present their newspaper to other groups in circle-within-a-circle format. Teacher listens to each group (two at a time) and fills out the evaluation rubric for each presentation.
