Unit 13: Fashion show

Day Six: Rehearsing the fashion show

Objective

Students will correct one another's rough drafts.

Setting the Stage (5 minutes)

Teacher assigns students to sit in groups of 4, 6 or 8. Teacher instructs students to help one another with correcting and editing their rough drafts.

Guided Practice (10 minutes)

Students correct and edit one another's work. Teacher circulates around the room and participates in correcting and editing students' work.

Independent Practice (35 minutes)

Students rehearse their Fashion Show presentation with various other pairs of students. After 5 minutes, Teacher gives a signal for pairs to switch to a new pair and present again.

This present-switch-present again process continues for approximately 35 minutes.

Closure (2-5 minutes)

Each pair discusses final details for their presentation.
