Unit 7: Family Celebrations
Kinship terms, possessives, descriptions; introductions, permission; birthdays, family customs.
The unit lasts for 6 days.
Objectives
Students will be able to:
- Identify and introduce people, specifically family members
- Respond to introductions
- Describe people
- Make requests
- Ask for, give and refuse permission
- Communicate about specific family customs related to birthdays
Lessons
Meeting the Language Learning Continuum
- Students will converse in face-to-face social interactions.
- Students will write a poem and a birthday invitation.
- Students will use short sentences, learned words and phrases and simple questions and commands when speaking and writing.
