Unit 19: Virtual voyage
Days eight through ten: A unique experience
Objective
- Students will work cooperatively to write the text for a skit.
- Students will rehearse and present a skit orally.
Note: The process of writing, rehearsing and presenting the skit may require more days. Teacher can easily gauge student progress and adjust the schedule accordingly.
Day 8
Independent Practice (50 minutes)
Students, in their teams, will write a text for their skit, A Unique Experience on Our Trip. Teacher will collect for editing and commentary. Teacher will return edited work to students at the beginning of the next class meeting.
Day 9
Independent Practice (50 minutes)
Students, in their teams, will prepare props, backdrops, etc. and will rehearse their skit, A Unique Experience on Our Trip.
Day 10
Evaluation(50 minutes)
Students, in their teams, will present their skit, A Unique Experience on Our Trip. Teacher evaluates the presentations according to the rubric.
