  2. Students will be able to discuss a travel adventure with two to three classmates.

Setting the Stage (10 minutes)

Teacher explains to students that today, they will create groups of 3 or 4 and that each group will be discussing a travel adventure that they'd like to go on and that they will write a travel itinerary or "journal" that describes their adventure. Teacher hands out a model journal for students to look at.

  • Excursions

Evaluation (one day)

Teacher provides a rubric and students, working within their group, write and illustrate an individual travel brochure/journal. Students can share the illustrations, but need to write their own text.
