Unit 11: Adventure Travels
Vacation destinations and activities; cultural awareness; using travel vocabulary (all 4 skills); describing past events; review of obtaining information, expressing likes and dislikes, making requests.
The unit lasts for 7 days.
Objectives
Students will be able to:
- Communicate both orally and in writing about an imaginary vacation
- Describe vacation spots to visit
- Tell about past events and travel experiences
- Understand and demonstrate cultural awareness about travel
- Create a photo journal and share with classmates
Lessons
Meeting the Language Learning Continuum
- Students will engage in conversations.
- Students will obtain and provide information when speaking, reading and writing.
- Students will make requests.
- Students will express likes and dislikes.
- Students will demonstrate Stage One and Stage Two functions in communicating with some errors that do not hinder comprehension.
