Unit 2: My Friends and I
Day Five: Classroom presentation
Objective
Students will present their poster/collage/Powerpoint orally to a series of partners.
Setting the Stage
The teacher has his/her own personal poster on display.
Input (3 minutes)
The teacher presents his/her personal poster to the class.
Independent Practice (5 minutes)
Students present their poster or Powerpoint on a personal laptop to several classmates.
Evaluation (30 minutes)
Students present their poster or Powerpoint in a Circle-Within-a-Circle format. The teacher sits with one pair and evaluates their presentation according to a rubric. The teacher stays in one place and the circle rotates, allowing the teacher to observe and evaluate a new pair of students after each rotation.
